Chazutsu – Japanese-Style Speckled Stoneware Airtight Matcha Tea Caddy
The ritual of preservation
Matcha is a living powder – it breathes, oxidizes, and loses its vibrant color and aromas within a few days if not protected. This airtight stoneware chazutsu simply meets this need: a double seal that isolates the powder from air and moisture, in an object made to last.
The aesthetic of speckled stoneware
Speckled glazing: natural copper-colored spots on a matte black background tell the story of fire and earth. Each piece is unique – the nuances, the density of the speckles, and the patina vary from one chazutsu to another. True to the wabi-sabi spirit where irregularity becomes a signature.

Use and care
Keep away from direct light and humidity. Clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth – never use soap or a dishwasher. Stoneware develops a patina over time: this is intentional, it is the beauty of an object that lives with you.
Natural companion
Perfectly complements our 7-Piece Matcha Discovery Set, our 100-Prong Chasen, and our Ice Crack Chawan. For the coffee ritual, this chazutsu also accommodates your freshly roasted beans – the same airtightness, the same patina over time.
